The short version. Use it for legitimate casting work. Don't spam actors. You own your data and can take it out whenever you like. We're in pilot, so things will break sometimes and we'll tell you when they do.
By creating an account, installing the extension or otherwise using Callback, you agree to these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you have the authority to bind it. If you don't agree, please don't use the product.
Callback is a tool that reads audition submissions from sources you connect (Gmail, Google Forms, Google Sheets), extracts contact details and photos, organises candidates on a board, and lets you message candidates who have opted in.
Callback does not make casting decisions. It does not rank, score or evaluate actors, and it is not a talent agency, an employment agency or a recruiter. Every judgement about who to call remains yours.
Callback is in a private pilot. That means, plainly:
Please keep your own backups of anything you cannot afford to lose. Excel export exists for exactly this reason.
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for everything done under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has got in. Don't share one login across a team when separate accounts would be appropriate — Enterprise plans include proper team access.
You agree not to:
We take the casting-couch problem seriously. Accounts used to exploit actors will be terminated immediately and without refund, and we will cooperate with lawful investigations.
You are the Data Fiduciary for the candidates you import. That means you are responsible for collecting their data lawfully, telling them what you'll do with it, obtaining consent before messaging them, and honouring opt-outs and deletion requests.
The product enforces some of this for you — messages to candidates who haven't opted in are blocked, every email carries a one-click unsubscribe, and consent changes are logged with timestamps — but the legal responsibility remains yours.
Your data is yours. We claim no ownership of your candidate records, boards, notes or messages.
You can export to Excel at any time, and request a full export by email. On account closure we delete your data as described in the privacy policy.
We may use aggregated, de-identified statistics (for example, “the median casting call receives N submissions”) to improve and describe the product. This never includes personal data and can never be traced back to you or to a candidate.
Callback connects to Google, SendGrid, Twilio and Cloudflare. Your use of those services is also governed by their terms. We are not responsible for their outages, decisions or policy changes — including, for example, an email provider filtering a message or Meta declining a WhatsApp template.
The Indie plan is free. Studio and Enterprise pricing is agreed directly with you. During the pilot, paid plans are provided free of charge.
When paid plans begin, we will give you at least 30 days' notice before charging you anything, and you will never be charged automatically without having agreed to a price first.
The Callback name, software, design and documentation belong to us. You get a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the product while your account is active. You may not copy, decompile or create derivative works from it, except where that restriction is not permitted by law.
We aim to keep Callback running, but during the pilot we offer no uptime guarantee. Enterprise agreements can include a service level commitment — ask us.
Callback is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, including lost profits, lost opportunities or a role that went to someone else. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the preceding twelve months, or ₹10,000.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
You can stop using Callback and close your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, and will normally give notice and a chance to fix the problem first — except where the breach involves harming candidates, in which case we act immediately.
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra have exclusive jurisdiction. Before going to court, please email us — nearly everything is faster to solve that way.
These terms are written for a small pilot product and are not a substitute for legal advice. Before taking on enterprise customers or handling data at scale, have a lawyer review them.
