Casting is about people. Not spreadsheets.

Callback reads your casting inbox and turns every submission into one shortlist. No new platform, no accounts for actors, nothing to move.

Less admin. More casting.

Why Callback exists

Why Callback exists: everyone builds for actors, nobody builds for casting teams

I am an actor. I have sent hundreds of those emails.

Then I saw the other side of it.

One casting call. 400 emails. Someone copying phone numbers into a sheet at 1am, hoping they had not missed anyone.

Everyone is building apps to help actors get found. Nobody is helping the people doing the finding.

So I started building the thing I kept wishing existed. Not a new place to move your work to. Just something that takes the boring half off your plate.

See it work

From the casting call to the callback.

Six steps, from the day you post the call to the day the actor hears back. Click through it, or let it play. Step 3 is live, so type anything you like into it.

Your casting call, posted the way you always post it
WhatsApp group

“Casting for a vertical series. Female, 22 to 26, Hindi and Marathi. Send profile and photos to the mail below.”

Your Gmail

casting@…  The address on every post you have ever put up.

A Google Form

The one your assistant made last year that everyone still uses.

A shared Sheet

Someone from the team keeps adding names to it directly.

Nothing changes here. Callback does not ask you to post anywhere new, or to make actors sign up somewhere. You keep working exactly as you do now.

0
submissions, across four different places

This is the part that eats the evening. Opening each one, finding the number somewhere in the signature, saving the photo, typing it all into a sheet.

What actually landed in your inbox
What Callback pulled out

Rewrite the text on the left. Change the number, write it in Hinglish, delete the name. It is genuinely running, so it will also tell you honestly when it cannot find something.

The actor who applied three times from two addresses is one person on your sheet, not three. Matched on the number and the mail id.

Drag a frame, or click it to move it along. It works. Anyone past Received gets circled, the way you would mark a real contact sheet. Callback never marks anyone for you.

We have received your profile

Hi Ananya, thank you for sending your profile for the vertical series. It has reached us and you are on the list. SENT AUTOMATICALLY · 11:48 PM

You have been shortlisted

We would like to see you for this one. Audition details to follow. SENT WHEN YOU CIRCLED HER FRAME

This is the half nobody builds. Actors usually hear nothing, so they keep following up, and that lands back in your inbox anyway. Callback tells them where they stand on its own.

The difference

It joins your workflow. It does not ask for a new one.

01

No new platform to move to

Casting happens on mail and WhatsApp. Callback works there. Nobody has to make an account, learn a dashboard, or upload their life again.

02

No third-party listing fees

No paying a marketplace for access to talent who already wrote to you. The submissions are yours. Callback simply organises them.

03

The AI does the typing, never the casting

It reads, sorts and follows up so the manual work goes away. It never ranks or rejects an actor. That call stays yours.

04

Actors are no longer left in the dark

They are told their profile arrived, and where they stand. That means fewer follow-up messages in your inbox, and a great deal more goodwill.

What works today

  • Finds submissions on its own, with no label to set up
  • Or reads the Gmail label, Form or Sheet you point it at
  • Pulls out name, number, city, age and photo
  • Spots the same person applying twice
  • A board to shortlist on, with notes on each person
  • Email your shortlist, with unsubscribe built in
  • Export to Excel whenever you need it

Trust

Your casting work stays yours.

You should always know what is being read, what is being kept, and where you stay in charge.

What it readsOnly the search, label or form you choose. Read only, and never your wider mailbox.
What it keepsSorting happens on your own machine. Nothing is saved by us unless you choose to save it.
Who it messagesOnly people who have agreed to hear from you, with a one click opt out every time.
Who decidesYou do. Callback never shortlists, ranks or rejects anyone on your behalf.

FAQ

Fair questions.

Is this another casting platform?

No. It is not a place actors sign up to and you browse. It works inside the mail and forms you already use, and organises what is already coming to you.

Do I have to label my emails first?

No. Callback can find submissions on its own. If you would rather keep projects separate, post each casting call with a per project address such as yourname+verticalseries@gmail.com, then make one Gmail filter. That is set up once and never touched again.

Can it read my personal email?

Only what you point it at. Read only, and it cannot send or delete anything as you.

Does it decide who gets cast?

Never. It does the typing and the chasing. Every decision about a person stays with you.

Do actors pay for anything?

No. Actors are never charged, and never will be. They just get told where they stand.

Is it ready to use?

It is being built and tested in stages. Join the waitlist and we will share access as each part becomes ready.

I work in casting. Can I suggest something?

Please do. It is genuinely the fastest way this gets better. Anything at all: what is missing, what is annoying, what you would actually pay for. Mail sanyamjainbits@gmail.com and it comes straight to me.
